Oh boy, lately, many things happenings.. Mostly good! :)
Got second job as a VP installer with CSD, nice to have extra income plus my own schedule, been doing it since first week of August.
Then I accidentally hit other car at around second week of August due to inattentive driving by reading a long email on sidekick! :( I was on freeway, driving about 55 mph on way to install a VP about 5 miles from my home, then I read email, and when I looked back on the road, the car in front of me was stopping, damnit, I pressed all my energy into brake pedal, I went 55mph to around between 15-25 mph, then I hit his rear bumper. Airbags didn't go off (it will go off when it's at least 25mph, whew!). No injury for both of us.
Luckily, it won't go on my driving record since other driver didn't want it to be reported so my advantage cuz I don’t have to cover his car damage or expecting any increase in my insurance coverage. Minor damage on his upper bumper but it's nothing major.
Sadly, my radiator is leaking from it. Though, I put up putty to stop radiator leaking that I bought at AutoZone. Good thing, it bought me time to get it repaired later. It worked, me surprised! :) It should cost me about less than $1,000 to get radiator, absorber cushion frame, and some bolts fixed then it would be back to perfect condition.
Mostly important, my Saturn Vue still looks almost perfect, no scratch, barely notice the damage. Only will know if it was in accident by looking by license plate along with Gallaudet Alumni frame that bend. Since the body is made with plastic or something like that, which it would go back to normal even if it's hit by bat, door, etc. But under the exterior body, it can be notice but who would go underneath the vehicle? Nice to have that feature! :)
Went back to work at CSDR after 3 weeklong vacation. Oh boy, I worked too much lately, been putting lot of overtimes, along with second job as a VP.
Today, Director of Residence informed me and others that I am taking over some of his duties for CSDR's Extreme Magic Show III. I would be responsible for contacting and scheduling/arranging with schools, organizations, and various places for us to attend and perform a magic show hosted by elementary and middle school students. That's addition to my already duties such as contacting parents for practice/meeting, itinerary, transportation, medical information, and few more. And I’m also an assistant to Sammy Ruiz, JR, the magic teacher with supervising students, trips coverage, etc.
We will have 5 boys and 1 girl from elemtentary, and a boy and a girl from middle school. Looking forward to work with them. Total of 8 magic students this year.
That's honorable to take these duties and it’s my pleasure.
At our elementary dorm, we got 8 boys. Oh boy, they're being mischievous this week after 3 months of no school during the summer. Though, good to have them back! :)
